Guerrilla Art

Geurilla Art is Born

My friend David and I went alone to the school associated with our Episcopal Church on St. Guadalupe's Day (December 12) and painted Guadalupe on the patch on a small oak tree. We were very excited to be executing David's vision of his favorite saint, and we made a pact to tell no one how it came to be there. We called it "Guerrilla Art."

The beans were eventually spilled, but I wanted to continue.

After Guadalupe, I stuck this note with repositionable double-sided tape to the outside of a public mailbox and ran away.  I felt like a criminal, like I would be nabbed by the police. It was so much fun I did it again!

Guerrilla Art has been my secret hobby for several months.  I make a piece of art or a random note, leave it where it is likely to be found, and leave.

Now I want to do something BIGGER.

I wonder if what I am considering is a crime . . .

If it's a crime, no one seemed to care.
