We Paint Ourselves

All art comes from an individual artist and bears her stamp.  In that sense, all art is self-portrait.  What would our paintings say if they had voices?

I often work with children on actual self-portraits through photography, body tracing, and contour drawing.

 We also play with symbolic self-portraits through collage and other exercises (for example, "If you were an animal, what kind of animal would you be?" or "My Name is Art").
